Polymer bollards offer several key advantages of ‘traditional’ cast iron type bollards with fewer of the recognised ‘drawbacks’. Intrinsically they will not corrode and are ‘virtually maintenance free’ with similar aesthetics to cast iron when new.

Each polymer bollard has a moulded outer which is cast around its internal steel core forming a solid polymer casing which is also ‘through coloured’ pigmented to match the final external paint finish specified.

The process enables integrate bollard shapes and patterns to be produced allied with excellent strength and impact characteristic’s.

All polymer bollards have a ‘hot dipped galvanised’ steel core and castings are manufactured to ISO 9002.

Key features and benefits of polymer bollards:-

Maximum protection against corrosion, abrasion rust & chipping.
Polymer bollards typically weigh half that of similar ductile cast iron designs.
The polyurethane outer incorporates flame retardant properties.
Excellent strength
provides resistance to vehicleular impact.
The polymer is pigmented to the same finished paint colour. Any surface damage is therefore ‘minimal’ and no rust occurs.
‘Virtually maintenance free product’. The bollards heavy duty two part polyurethane paint finish forms a molecular bond with the polymer outer to give a protected life span of 10 years plus, even in heavy demanding coastal environments.
Full range of RAL and BS4800 colours available with additional embellishment’s and details such as retro-reflective bands available as extras.
The highly innovative and adaptable production process enables replication of civic crests, corporate logos and even exact reproduction of existing bollard styles.
